Our clientele comprises of regional and international production companies as well as fabricators, marine/drilling contractors, FPSO and other asset owners. Some of our clients are, Halliburton Indonesia, Murphy Oil, Petronas, Neptune Marine, Equinox (Norway), Global Process System (GPS), MMHE, Aker Kvaerner, ExxonMobil, Talisman, DESB Marine, and others.

2. S011-N To supply technical and commissioning team to rig down 125 ton crane to enable owner to extend pedestal height. Upon completion of extension of pedestal height to reassemble, install, commission and load test crane on board Drillship.   Oct - Nov 2008
3. 1017-O-C30 To Fabricate, Supply and Commission a 30 ton new Fixed Boom API Marine Crane to be fitted onto a FPSO.   Aug - Dec 2008

6. S010-P To supply technician to assist manufacturer in assembly, installation and load testing of  new hydraulic PATRIOT cranes.   Aug - Sept 2008
7. S008-D To make temporary repair and recertified damaged boom section on board vessel. Work included engineering verification and certification by clean of new load ratings of crane with repaired boom. Vessel was able to resume work within 40 days of damage accident.   Aug - Sep 2008

All the process involved in production of rock drill bits, bisentric bits and core bits exists within the Volgaburmash facility. The company’s shops are equipped with the up-to-date equipment from the leading machine manufacturers of USA, Germany, Italy and Switzerland. Modern machine centers have been installed for the main leg and cone machining operations in a single setup.
Single-pass drill machines allow all tungsten carbide insert holes to be produced to a high degree of accuracy.
New high accuracy vacuum and chamber furnaces for carbonization and heat treatment are capable of consistently maintaining process design requirements.
Automatic welding machines using the plasma process for the application of wear-resistant material to bearing surfaces.
Meeting the highest industry standards, carbide inserts are produced in our metallurgical shop using the latest equipment for preparation of high quality tungsten-cobalt mixture and a vacuum gas static sintering furnaces.
Drill bit final assembly is also a critical operation. For this purpose, Volgaburmash has a special room used for assembly of drill bits and utilizes an automatic greasing machine that assures proper bit greasing
 

Volgaburmash has a highly qualified and strong product and process design staff. CAD systems are utilized and specialized drill bit design software has been developed. The design and production efforts are supported with a metallurgical staff, products testing facility and material analysis capabilities. Design engineers conduct field tests of new items in their home and international market developing designs for different drilling conditions.

In order to provide onsite support services, Rabutec has “inhouse” trained drilling personnel who are available to support the offshore drilling operations in the Far East countries at short notice. We have also successfully set up an engineering support team in our office in Kuala Lumpur which allows a quicker response “turn-around time” to our clients.
